Not Just For Honda's
My husband ride a Harley and recently went to WingStuff's retail store to purchase Helmets. Even though we don't ride a Honda we purchase our riding gear wherever we find it, whether it be at the Harly Dealership or at a Honda Store. We found what we wanted at WingStuff and made the 1 1/2 to 2 hour trip from Hesperia, CA to Lake Forest.
After purchasing our helmets, we were about to leave when my husband put our Harley Ultra Classic into gear and the shift linkage broke. This has happened before and we temporally fixed the problem using zip-ties. Having only one zip tie, in the bike, I went into Wing Stuff and asked our sales person if they had any zip ties. Not only did he give us some, he came outside to help me fix the problem.
About the time we felt our efforts would hold, well enough to get us home, the Service Manager from SoCal MotorcycleService came out to see what the problem was.
Concerned that we might break down on the freeway, he sugested that we pull around back to a service bay and let them fix the problem, even though it was closing time. They quickly and correctly fix the problem and got us back on the road safely.
Being located at the back of the WingStuff store I had just assumed that they only worked on Honda's. That's when I saw and realized they work on all kinds of motorcycles, as well as the Service Manager informing me that his mechanics repair all types of motorcycles on a daily basis.
I can't thank SoCal Motorcycle Service enough for their quick and friendly service! I recommend them to anyone who is looking to have their bike serviced, whether it be a Gold Wing, Harley or Sportbike - we can't say enough about them. . .Thank You Again. We will be back and recommend you to everyone we know.

I purchased my 2005 GL1800 Gold Wing from a man living in Reno, NV. That is 500 miles from my home. I told him I lived in Lake Mathews, CA. He said, that's only 65 miles from WingStuff in Lake Forest, California. The seller told me he had all his service work done at SoCal MotorcycleService and was very happy. He was especially excited about the Tire air tire pressure device that they had recently installed. I thought to myself, who drives 1,000 miles round-trip to get their motorcycle serviced?, it didn't take me long to find out why.
I had never heard of WingStuff.com or their motorcycle repair facility called SoCal MotorcycleService, so I purchased heated riding gear from them and was happy with the product and service. My Wing developed a low decibel wobble as the ME880 tires began to wear. I spoke with David at WingStuff. He told me if I let him install a new set of Stones and All Balls steering stem bearings and he could almost guarantee the problem would go away. He installed the tires and the All Balls in January 2009 and gave me free installation on the tires as part of a promo they were running at that time. The ride was everything David said it would be. At that time I decided no one would touch my Wing except WingStuff.
Last Sunday my wife and I were on the 91 freeway traveling to LA. The warning light on my motorcycle tire air pressure monitor came on and indicated the rear tire pressure had dropped from 41 PSI to 29 PSI. I told my wife to hold on tight, we were losing tire pressure fast. In the 20 seconds it took me to get to the shoulder of the road, I watched the tire air pressure monitor read-out go from 29 PSI to 15 PSI. Fortunately, we made it to the next exit where I stopped the bike at a gas station. The rear tire was completely flat. After putting 5 plugs in the tire, the tire still did not hold air.
It was a Sunday afternoon at 2pm. We both knew that no bike repair shop would pick up the bike, repair it, and get us on our way. My wife looked at me and said, now what?, I told her there was no question what to do. I called for a flatbed tow truck and had it towed to WingStuff's service & repair facility called ( SoCal MotorcycleService ) in Lake Forest, California where they repair Gold Wings as well as many other brand motorcycles. We rode with the tow truck and the driver dropped off the bike without damaging it. The sign on the door said they would open at 8am Monday morning. Although the area the store is located in appeared safe, there is no way I would leave my Gold Wing parked 65 miles from home overnight, alone.
After getting a ride home, I returned a few hours later and slept the night in the parking lot guarding my Wing. At 7:30am Charlie arrived for work a half-hour before opening. He saw me in the parking lot and asked me if he could help. I showed him the flat tire. He opened the shop early and had my bike on a lift and the tire removed within 10 minutes. Before 8am he had the tire off the wheel and discovered the tire had a 3-inch gash, and was not repairable. David found a new replacement Stone and had it mounted within minutes. By 8:30 am the bike was ready for me to take home.
After paying my bill, David gave both my wife and I some long-sleeved WingStuff T-shirts for free!
As anyone who rides any make or model motorcycle knows, it is difficult to find knowledgeable mechanics and a place you can trust to do work correctly. It is a 130 mile round-trip for me to go to SoCal MotorcycleService, and I pass at least a dozen motorcycle shops along the way. I have had bad experiences with most of them.
SoCal MotorcycleService is the ONLY place I would recommend or take any of my bikes for service or repair. Their prices and mechanics are the best around.

Thank you to everyone at Wing Stuff. Everyone there is very courteous, knowledable, and all around friendly. This is by far the best place to purchase parts and accesseries as well as have repair work done on your bike. The crew at Wing Stuff has been helping me to find and purchase quality parts and accesseries for my wife and myself as well as our GL1500.
Dave & Charlie rebuilt the forks and replaced the steering bearings for us. Wow what great guys. Dane and the rest of the crew did a great job locating and aquiring the parts and others items that we wanted. I can't say enough about how very pleased and satisfied we are with everyone at Wing Stuff. And yes I am telling all of my friends to come to their location for parts and service.
Now this GL1500 rides like it should.
Thank you to the crew and all of their hard work.

I recently had my GL1800 in your service department in Lake Forest, California and wanted to write about your Gold Wing technicians Dave and Charlie. What a pleasure it was to have people who really understand the needs of the customers and knowledgeable about Gold Wings and other motorcycles. Their ability to visualize what a customer is asking for is paramount in turning their motorcycle into a one of a kind master piece for each customers based on their individual needs.
The mechanical skills they have are very difficult to come by in addition they are very knowledgeable in recommending the best products and services that enhance the overall safety, performance, visibility, and comfort of each of your customers motorcycle. Your company selects products based on R&D of your company as well as customer consumer reviews. This is the best way to determine the needs of the market and to verify R&D and Q&A results.
Thanks Dave, Charlie, and Wingstuff's for turning my bike into a master piece. I highly recommend Wingstuff's service department to anyone who rides a Honda Gold Wing or other motorcycles even if you need to drive a far distance to get there. Make an appointment and stay at the hotel next door, its well worth driving the extra miles to receive this kind of high level service on your Gold Wing, you'll be glad you did.
Thanks,
